Charette is an intense effort to solve any architectural problem within a limited time. From a creative standpoint, a Charette can be divided into three portions: Listen, Brainstorm and Draw Fast

Listen: Starting the Process Listen to what the financial backers, realtors, owners, and other specialists have to suggest. Work together with them to come to an understanding about the project, what their goals and limitations are, and how these might fit with your ideas.     Brainstorming: Resolving the issues Anything goes. Wild creative ideas are quickly aired out, sketched and gauged against the initial restrictions and program needs All issues are discussed openly to determine the best compromise concepts.     Draw Fast: Make it happen! A picture is worth a thousand words. The designs come quickly and easily with a clear program and goal. Final design concepts acknowledge all participant ideas, whether used or not. So, you need to listen again. And revise as necessary. The initial charette design concept most always receives near unanimous approval from participants.

Mr. Christensen has developed a national reputation and specialty in providing fast "Design Charette" services for developers. This process produces concept master plans and prototype building plans adequate to determine project scope and approximate development costs in an intensive, 2-5 day time period.
