The city of Blaine, located in the Northwestern corner of Washington state, has utilized the charette process extensively. It has helped this border town grow significantly and help create a significantly higher standard in the creation of open spaces, parks, and public recreation and relaxation areas.
The town has recently developed a master-plan to help create a public boardwalk, a water treatment facility and a downtown area with the goal of attracting tourists and making the quality of life better for it's residents.
